Rendezvous: Atwoods/Kwik Shop at 30th & Lorraine, Hutchinson
Gathering Time: 8:00 a.m. — socializing and photos
Departure: 8:30 a.m.
We’ll begin the morning with a little socializing and some photos before heading out at 8:30 a.m.
We'll make a brief pit stop at Starbucks in Newton.
From there, we’ll make our way to Kechi, where the good folks at Karg Art Glass will be putting on a glass-blowing demonstration exclusively for our group.
We’re asking each member for a small donation to help cover the cost of the demonstration.
Lunch: 12:30 p.m. — Stearman Field Bar & Grill
After lunch, anyone interested is invited to join us for some additional socializing at Old School Tap House in Kechi.

CKCA: Overnight Drive & Dine

We will meet at Atwoods at 30th & Lorraine here in Hutch at 12:45 PM on Saturday, October 17th and depart at 1:00 PM for a drive up the Flint Hills National Scenic Byway. The scenic drive begins in Cassoday, KS. Since no direct road connects Hutchinson to Cassoday, we will take a round-a-bout way to begin the Scenic Byway.
We will arrive in Council Grove around 4:00 PM. This will give everyone time to check into their rooms before supper. We have 7 rooms blocked at the Cottage House Hotel, phone number 620-767-6828. Mention that you're with the Central Kansas Corvette Association.
We have reservations at 5:30 PM at the historic Hays House in Council Grove for dinner. There is a honky-tonk called the Cut and Chute on the corner of Neosho and US 56 (a block from our hotel) where we can relax for the evening, and/or Riverbank Brewing, which is situated on the banks of the Neosho River. There is a riverwalk located across the street from the brewery.
On the morning of Sunday the 18th we are planning to have breakfast at the Saddlerock Cafe. There is a very nice lake just north of Council Grove where we can gather for pictures. Junction City, Ft Riley and Manhattan are just to the north where anyone can head to after we take pictures.
