From May 1974 through March 1980, the Central Kansas Corvette Association published a monthly (occasionally bimonthly) printed newsletter entitled VETTER NEWS; see HERE.
Beginning with the October 1974 issue, editor Sandra Hawk and co-editor (and CKCA president) Darrell Hawk introduced a new, semi-regular centerfold feature in the newsletter which, in time, became known as "Car Of The Month."
At least 21 issues of the newsletter published during this timeframe featured CKCA member Corvettes, initially two cars per issue, and then with just a single Corvette being featured beginning in June 1976.

The push to get these particular newsletters scanned and added to our website is directly related to the re-institution of the "Car Of The Month" feature, now entitled "Corvette of the Month," which was announced at the July 8th, 2024 membership meeting.
Each month, a CKCA member Corvette will be featured on our website, chosen at random by a raffle-style drawing held just prior to the conclusion of our monthly membership meetings.
