Get ready for an outstanding collection of cars and trucks at the 2026 Kansas State Fair!
Join us on Sunday, September 20, 2026, for the Kansas State Fair Invitational Outdoor Auto Show, proudly hosted by the Central Kansas Corvette Association (CKCA) of Hutchinson, Kansas.
Founded in 1968, CKCA is the second-oldest Corvette club in Kansas, and we’re excited to bring a special collection of automotive enthusiasts and exceptional vehicles together as part of the Kansas State Fair.

The Invitational Outdoor Auto Show will feature a variety of distinctive vehicles, including:
• Classic Cars & Trucks
• Custom Cars
• Performance Cars
• Street Rods
• Rat Rods
• Other Special-Interest Vehicles
Because display space at the Kansas State Fair is limited, participation is by invitation only.

The auto show is part of the Kansas State Fair, so regular Kansas State Fair admission is required to access the show venue. Once you're inside the fairgrounds, head to the Administration Building near Gate 1 and come enjoy an impressive collection of cars and trucks!
Whether you're a lifelong car enthusiast, a Corvette fan, or simply appreciate beautifully restored, customized, and unique automobiles, we hope you'll make the auto show one of your stops while enjoying your day at the fair.

Although vehicle registration is currently closed, you can still contact us to be considered for the waiting list in the event of a last-minute cancellation or no-show, or to be considered for an invitation to next year's show.

Dear Kansas State Fair Invitational Outdoor Auto Show Participant:
The Kansas State Fair Invitational Outdoor Auto Show, hosted by the Central Kansas Corvette Association, is coming up on Sunday, September 20, 2026!
We're excited to be hosting the KSF car show once again this year, and thrilled to welcome you and your vehicle to participate in this prestigious high-profile event.
Here's some information you need to know:
• This is an invitational event, as venue space is limited during the fair. Receipt of this email indicates that you and your vehicle are already officially entered on the list of car show participants.
• There is no entry fee for you and your vehicle to participate in the show.
• Show hours are 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
• Show vehicles may begin arriving as early as 6:30 a.m., and all vehicles must be checked in at Gate 1 (junction of N Poplar St and E 20th Ave) by NO LATER THAN 8:00 a.m.
• NOTE: Poplar St is one-way south-to-north and 20th Ave is one-way east-to-west during the fair.
• You may use the time between 8:00 a.m and 9:00 a.m. to wipe down your vehicle, place display boards, etc., and mingle with your fellow car-crazies. A CKCA photographer will be making the rounds during this time, as well.
• Release time is 5:00 p.m. Due to pedestrian safety concerns, vehicles cannot be moved between 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. except in case of emergency.
• A registration packet with a parking hang tag for your vehicle, a dash card, and two complimentary general admission tickets per car will be waiting for you at check-in at Gate 1. Additional passengers in your vehicle may purchase tickets at the gate, or purchase tickets in advance through the KSF website and have them scanned at the gate.
• The sale, posting or distribution of any merchandise, products, promotional items and/or printed or written material during the show is prohibited.
• All show vehicles must have functioning mufflers.
• IMPORTANT: You were advised in an earlier email that formal registration would take place online in advance of the show through the Kansas State Fair's website. Due to circumstances beyond our control, THE FORMAL REGISTRATION PROCESS HAS CHANGED, as follows:
– We will have registration forms waiting at Gate 1 PRE-POPULATED with yours and your vehicle's information. There will be six members of our car show committee greeting car show participants as you arrive at Gate 1 ("Welcome to Chick-fil-A!").
– You'll be presented with your already-filled-out registration form and we'll simply have you sign and date the form's HOLD HARMLESS CLAUSE, the verbiage of which is noted below for your information:
"HOLD HARMLESS CLAUSE: It is hereby specifically understood and mutually agreed that the State of Kansas and/or the Kansas State Fair and/or its management, and the Central Kansas Corvette Association and/or its members, shall not be in any way liable for any personal injury or property damage that may occur from any cause whatsoever to any Exhibitor or his/her employees, or for any public liability from any cause sustained within the space of his/her exhibit. The Exhibitor agrees to indemnify, save and hold harmless the State of Kansas, Kansas State Fair Board, its General Manager, Kansas State Fair employees, and the Central Kansas Corvette Association and/or its members, from any responsibility of any kind and for all claims for compensation or any other personal liability or property damage that may arise from the fulfillment of this agreement."
• We're very pleased to announce that there will be three awards presented at the conclusion of the show this year:
1. "Employees' Choice" – voted on and presented by Club Car Wash
2. "People's Choice" – voted on by fairgoers and presented on behalf of the Kansas State Fair
3. "Best of Show" – voted on by YOU and presented by the Central Kansas Corvette Association.
• The awards ceremony will take place at 5:00 p.m. at the gazebo in Gottschalk Park, located directly adjacent to the car show venue.
• Members of our CKCA car show committee will canvas car show participants between 3 p.m. - 4 p.m. soliciting your vote for "Best of Show."
• Your vote should recognize the vehicle that represents the finest overall combination of appearance, craftsmanship, condition, detail, and presentation. Rather than voting for your favorite make or model, consider which vehicle best exemplifies excellence in every aspect and leaves the strongest overall impression. Cool?

The tradition of displaying an example of each generation of Corvette during the Kansas State Fair Car Show was begun in 2021 – the first year we began hosting this prestigious event – by CKCA Past-President Greg Gordon, who organized the show on behalf of our club from 2021 ~ 2025.
