Over 50 members and one guest attended Monday night’s CKCA meeting. Special thanks to Harley Macklin for bringing his 1940 Chevy Coupe with a LS2 corvette motor and ‘Foose’ chrome wheels; what a car!! If you’re interested in bringing a ‘special’ vehicle for display at a future CKCA meeting, please contact Jack Martin and get it scheduled. We prefer Chevy’s (ha!), however any ‘unique’ vehicle is welcome.
During the meeting, we offered a special on CKCA apparel; $5.00 off selected items (primarily gray t-shirts & black polo shirts). We still have 2 CKCA Vintage Style Service Station in stock at a close-out price. We’ll extend the special offer to anyone interested. We also have a limited selection of visors and black ball caps. Please contact me if you have interest and I’ll make arrangements to meet you there. Cell 620-728-9942
Jim Gruver and the Vettes and Harley’s committee has been working hard on plans for the April 25-26 show at the Hutchinson Zoo in Carey Park. Please make plans to enter your corvette even if you can only attend one day. If you’re not able to attend either day, please consider a $20 donation (price to enter a Corvette or Harley) in lieu of showing your corvette.
Penny Stoss has been working hard on the website and she appreciates the feedback from members. Please take some time to tour/navigate the website... there’s a lot of new information added the past 60 days. Also, please check the membership page (you’ll need the password to access) to see if your information is correct. We’ve used some ‘stock’ corvette photos for members’ vehicles and will replace them when we receive actual photos. Penny can easily make changes to your listing. I’ll send an email to members directing them to ‘special’ website pages.
We hope you join us on March 28, 2015 for the Drive & Dine to Grumpy’s Steakhouse in Kingman, hosted by Wayne & Marcia Strawder. You should have received an email with details and RSVP deadline. The Strawder’s will take us south around Cheney Lake and on to Kingman.
It’s time to get the fiberglass out on the road!
Save the wave!
