WEBMASTER NOTE:

After the car show had pretty much broken up, but several hours before concert headliner Andy Ross was scheduled to play, I spotted Andy standing quietly off to the side. He and the band had arrived in the short time it took for me to run home and grab Denise (because of her unusual w*rk schedule, she needed a power nap) and they had already done their initial equipment setup. I recognized him immediately.

"Andy Ross!" I exclaimed. "The man, the myth, the legend!" I stuck out my hand and was met with a huge handshake and a big grin in return. "Dude, wow, it's great to finally meet you. This is my wife Denise."

Another big grin and hearty handshake.

I didn't want to hold him up, but...

"Andy, our car is parked just around the corner of the building, any chance I could bug you for a quick pic of you and us next to our car?"

"Heck, yeah!"

We popped around the corner and Andy spied our Corvette for the first time, sitting right next to the front door of the venue, all by itself in the parking lot (most of the other show cars were long gone by this time).

"Wow," he said upon seeing our car.

That simple exclamation, coming from a man of Andy's stature, made quite the impact on me.

And then the three of us began to BS like we'd known each other for years – easy, casual and fun. We talked American Rebel, music, cars, the 2nd Amendment Corvette that Danny 'The Count' Koker from the hit TV show 'Counting Cars' built for him several years ago, Matt Hagan and NHRA drag racing (we used to live about an hour from Matt out in the mountains of southwest Virginia, and actually bought a RAM truck from one of his dad's car dealerships in 2022), Tony and Leah Stewart and more NHRA drag racing, music, guns, Ted Nugent (hunting, more guns!), more hunting, bow hunting, American Rebel beer, America, freedom, liberty – you know, all the really important stuff.

There was nobody else there, for the most part, it was several hours yet before they were to take the stage, and Andy was in his element, in no hurry, just hanging out, very much enjoying this random visit with a couple of fans in the bright sun of a beautiful central Kansas summer afternoon.

As were we.

Andy stepped inside for a moment and grabbed one of the proprietors of the Red Shed to take our photos, so that all three of us could be in the shots. It was a thoughtful gesture on his part. Seemingly as a measure of what the moment meant for Andy, he asked that a few pix be taken with his phone, as well.

He checked out our Corvette with the eye and enthusiasm of a person who knows and appreciates cool cars. I invited him to pop the driver's door and take a look around inside. "Wow, this thing's still tight," he said when he opened the door. It meant the world to us that Andy took a moment to check out our car. It's not a fire-breathing show-queen trophy-winner, but it's clean and original and Denise and I are having a ball being back in the Corvette family.

Andy finally politely disconnected himself, as the band was ready to begin sound checks, but not before completely blowing mine and Denise's minds.

"Hey, I'm playing a concert at the NHRA Texas Fall Nationals in October. I'd love for you guys to come down and attend the show as my guests. Here's my cell number, keep in touch!"

Dang, Andy, you are the frikkin' man. We're already making our arrangements. Thank you, Mr. American Rebel!

Epic day? 1,000,000%.

Andy weaves his passions as a singer/songwriter, patriot, and self-defense advocate into the creation of America’s Patriotic Brand. Prior to founding American Rebel Andy founded Digital Ally, Inc., which he established in 2004. In addition to his entrepreneurial accomplishments, Andy served as host for twelve years of his own television shows, Maximum Archery and American Rebel, where he bowhunted all over the world and featured his love of self-defense, firearm and tactical skills and music.

• American Rebel Joins Tony Stewart Racing

BROWNSBURG, Ind. (August 7, 2023) – American Rebel has partnered with Tony Stewart Racing (TSR), with a multi-year agreement, in the NHRA Camping World Drag Racing Series, with the Kansas-based company highlighting its residential safes on the Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat Funny Car of three-time champion Matt Hagan.

American Rebel (NASDAQ: AREB) will serve as the primary sponsor of Hagan during the Menards NHRA Nationals Presented by PetArmor August 11-13 at Heartland Motorsports Park. The orange and black car design will feature American Rebel on the hood and side panels of Hagan’s 11,000-horsepower machine. American Rebel will also be Hagan’s primary sponsor at the NHRA Midwest Nationals June September 29-October 1 at World Wide Technology Raceway. American Rebel will be featured in an associate partner position for the remainder of 2023 and the 2024 season, with 2024 primary races to be announced at a later date.

“We are absolutely thrilled about our new partnership with Tony Stewart Racing and Menards, which showcases our industry-leading gun safes and ammo lockers,” said Andy Ross, CEO, American Rebel. “We look forward to burning patriotic nitro with driver Matt Hagan. This is the perfect fit for the American Rebel brand and American Rebel attitude. We are looking forward to welcoming Matt and TSR to our patriotic family.”

American Rebel builds one of the most desirable residential safes on the market. Their Black Smoke safes come in six different sizes. They are specifically designed to meet the needs of homeowners and firearm aficionados.

American Rebel positions itself as “America’s Patriotic Brand.” They recognize a growing need to protect yourself, your family, your neighbors or even a room full of strangers. That need is in the forethought of every product they design.

“We’re proud to have American Rebel join our race team. Their core values fit perfectly within our organization,” said team owner Tony Stewart. “Together, we can support patriotism, honesty, reliability, loyalty, service and innovation.”

Hagan, a winner of four Funny Car events so far this season, is looking forward to representing American Rebel.

“Everyone knows I’m a country boy that does a lot of hunting and fishing,” Hagan said. “I have quite a few safes, so I’m looking forward to adding American Rebel to my collection soon. I’m excited to have a partner like this come onboard at TSR. We have a lot of great partners, and this will be a great addition as well. We’ll be at Menards for a signing ahead of the Menards NHRA Nationals Presented by PetArmor, so people can check them out there also. We have a couple good races coming up and hopefully we can do well for this new partner. It’s always good to be able to protect your belongings from fire and theft, so I can’t wait to get my hands on one of their safes soon.”

Hagan will be making a Menards store appearance on Thursday, August 10 from 5:30-7:00 p.m. CDT in Topeka, Kansas to promote the new partnership between American Rebel, Tony Stewart Racing and Menards.
